ACCESSIBLE & ACCOUNTABLE WELLNESS
Anti-Racist, Anti-Bias, Anti-Oppression Healing & Wellness
As a privileged, white healing practitioner, I am deeply committed to continually examining and dismantling the ways I uphold and benefit from systemic racism and oppression, and white supremacy both personally and professionally. This means taking inventory and checking myself on my own inherent racism and bias every day, and doing the long-term work of unlearning and deep listening. It means identifying where and how I can be more inclusive in my practice, and ensuring harm-free space for BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ and disabled folks in my sessions, workshops and trainings. It means being trauma-informed and upholding the ethical standards of my profession. It means dedicating resources to professional education and qualifications that fortify these efforts. It means forever raising my awareness and knowledge of the history and future of racial and social justice and equity, and dedicating my resources to activism that destroys white power. It means calling in my white and white-passing peers to the work. It means paying reparations, and centering marginalized voices and perspectives. It means being accountable to and responsible for my mistakes, and taking meaningful and authentic steps to repair when I have caused harm.

Reparations
I make regular and ongoing reparations to Black people – both at the individual level and to organizations. If you would like me to amplify a fundraiser on my platform, or dedicate my monthly reparations to a specific person or cause, please be in touch.
Cultural Appropriation
I acknowledge my settler colonial occupation of Turtle Island, where I currently live on the stolen land of the Keskachauge (Keshaechqueren) Indians, a sub-tribe of the Lenape, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. As a Western spiritual guide and teacher, I believe land acknowledgment; and doing the ongoing work of personal ancestral healing and “unsettling” myself from colonial paradigms is necessary and crucial. The acknowledgment of my spiritual teachers, and the origins of my spiritual practices is imperative. The teachers I have studied with can be found on my bio page. The spiritual practices and tools I rely on in my sessions, workshops and trainings are born from my direct and evolving relationship with the Earth, and my intuitive insight and guidance; and are informed and inspired by the Celtic, earth-honoring, animistic and pagan traditions of my ancestral lineage. Through my advanced studies with Western shamanic teachers, I respectfully incorporate shamanic principles and techniques considered universal, and rooted in the cosmology and teachings of Amazonian, Mayan, Siberian and Tibetan indigenous healers. My approach is informed by Buddhist and yogic philosophy, especially Vipassana mindfulness and Bon teachings, and the Krishnamacharya/Desikachar yoga lineage. I am a Reiki Master and teacher dedicated to practicing and sharing a style of Reiki that honors the true roots and methods of this healing art as it was originally intended in Japan. In my herbalism practice, I work with bioregional herbs sourced directly from organic farms, and I do not wildharvest plants or use white sage. I support the Manna-hatta Fund.
Disability Justice
I am actively working to expand my awareness and knowledge around disability justice, and unlearning ableism. I will be updating my website and social media content to meet current standards for digital accessibility. I am also seeking out new physical locations for my practice that can accommodate clients with different types or degrees of disability. I acknowledge there is more work for me to do in this realm and I’m here for it.
