WITH ERICA RECTO
Cacao has long been used in ceremony by Central and South Americans. It has a reputation for being a “heart opener” because of the theobromine contained in the plant, which helps to stimulate and create a general feeling of ease.
Damiana is an herb known mostly for being an aphrodisiac, but is also used for love spells and calming.
Erica draws on her own ancestral history with Cacao, which was brought to the Philippines in the 17th Century, and was grown by her father’s family for generations.
We will assemble in circle to share a concoction of the two before embarking on a guided meditation to work on opening our hearts.
This offering comes at a turbulent time when we could all benefit from loving more fully and openly.
