WITH RACHEL BUDDE
Plants, like people, are complex. The chemical compounds of a plant affecting our physiology is only one dimension of the plant’s healing nature. It’s kind of like filling out a dating profile, you make a list of what you do for fun, what books you want people to think you read, what your life goals are—but there is sooo much to your YOUness that you just can’t capture on paper.
Plants are the same, they have their own personalities and affinities, histories and stories, and getting to know that side of plants helps to apply their healing. That’s the magic.
Informed by the lens of ethnobotany, we will discuss the magical uses of near and dear urban plants. We will make talismans of protection, luck and abundance. And we will learn the basics of tuning into the magic plants among us in the concrete. This class will be hands on, everything we learn will be through cultivating new skills. Come with a notebook, and get ready to let your Witch out.
